Swimming Lessons in Souris

All the cousins took lessons in Souris last week. The new pool had just opened, unfortunately the weather was not the greatest during the week. (I think that the weather bothered the parents more then any of the children!)

We spent last week in Souris camping in Mom and Dad's trailer. My nephew Nick stayed with us and David and Lisa were camped next to us. Seven out of the eight grandchildren were there - they had a great time playing together from morning till night!

Canada Day!

After spending the afternoon at the Park playing on a blow up slide and bouncer, we went back to Steve and Hollie's for supper. The kids had such a great time together! After their bath Brookelyn and Oakley wore their matching Brooklyn sweaters to watch the fireworks from the driveway.

May Long Weekend

Traditionally, with the exception of last year, we go with Paul and Shanley to Doug and Margo's cabin at Buffalo Point for May Long. The kids have a great time playing outside, eating s'mores and watching the deer.
"No, Caybree! Don't eat leaves! But let Mommy get a picture first!"

Nothing more fun then being thrown in the air on a blanket!

Well, maybe swinging in the blanket with your cousin!

Even Caybree had to have a turn.

Caybree's Kid Party

Brookelyn decided that Caybree needed to have a Tinker Bell cake for her kid party. There were 5 babies and 5 older siblings. Lots of fun!

I didn't get a group shot, so this picture will have to do. It is a picture of 8 of the kids and all of the moms.

First Birthday

I can't believe our baby is a year old already. Even though the year had a rough start, it really did fly by! We celebrated Caybree's birthday with a barbecue for the people who were with me the night in the hospital that Caybree crashed, Chris and Paula (the family we stayed with when we were in the city) and Bob and Lorraine. (Chris' parents who babysat Brookelyn when we were at the hospital and Chris and Paula were at work.) It was a great party and it was fun to all be together under happy circumstances!

Mmm . . . this cake is great!

Why haven't you given me this stuff before?

Yeah, Caybree!

Easter

The Easter Bunny led Brookelyn and Caybree on a hunt around the house. Brookelyn was excited to find treats for both her and Caybree.

Meeting one of the Super Dogs.

Totally enthralled with the Super Dogs. I don't think that Brookelyn stopped watching for a minute!

Caybree loves her food! Yogurt and ice cream are definitely her favourites. She still eats baby food because she is unable to eat anything with chunks. She becomes very full of mucus and gags as soon as there are lumps in her food. Hopefully one day soon she will be able to eat real food!

Shovelling with Dad

Brookelyn loved helping her Daddy with shovelling. However, it was much more fun shovelling the fresh snow off the yard onto the cleanly shovelled driveway!
