Caybs just loves to feed herself. She isn't very neat so we just let her feed herself before bed. She is still just eating baby food. After pursuing her "gagging" issues she was referred to an eating specialist. This led to a swallow study, during this they discovered that her esophagus narrows to the diameter of a pencil. (Hence the trouble with swallowing foods with texture.) She was scheduled for surgery last week, but was too congested to be put under. It has been rescheduled for Dec. 8th - hopefully it will be able to be done! (They will be doing a scope and hopefully be able to stretch the esophagus so she will be able eat age appropriate food.)
