Caybree's Kid Party

Brookelyn decided that Caybree needed to have a Tinker Bell cake for her kid party. There were 5 babies and 5 older siblings. Lots of fun!

I can't believe our baby is a year old already. Even though the year had a rough start, it really did fly by! We celebrated Caybree's birthday with a barbecue for the people who were with me the night in the hospital that Caybree crashed, Chris and Paula (the family we stayed with when we were in the city) and Bob and Lorraine. (Chris' parents who babysat Brookelyn when we were at the hospital and Chris and Paula were at work.) It was a great party and it was fun to all be together under happy circumstances!

Easter

The Easter Bunny led Brookelyn and Caybree on a hunt around the house. Brookelyn was excited to find treats for both her and Caybree.

Caybree loves her food! Yogurt and ice cream are definitely her favourites. She still eats baby food because she is unable to eat anything with chunks. She becomes very full of mucus and gags as soon as there are lumps in her food. Hopefully one day soon she will be able to eat real food!

Brookelyn loved helping her Daddy with shovelling. However, it was much more fun shovelling the fresh snow off the yard onto the cleanly shovelled driveway!

Florida

In February our family, along with Mark's brother and his family, went to Florida for 10 days. Mark's cousin and his wife graciously let us stay in their beautiful condo at an amazing resort. The guys loved the fact that there were three golf courses in the resort! (Although they only golfed the one course.) The girls had a fabulous time! (As did all the parents!)

Animal Kingdom

Our first day at the Disney Parks was spent at Animal Kingdom. Brookelyn was all about the characters. Mark and I had really wanted to do the safari again but our day was spent waiting in line. Our day was topped off eating the Rain Forest Cafe. The girls had a blast!

Magic Kingdom

Our day at Magic Kingdom was the one that I was most excited about. I knew Brookelyn was going to have a great time at all the parks, but Magic Kingdom was going to be the highlight. She is so obsessed with princesses I just couldn't wait to tell her that she was going to eat in Cinderella's castle!

The only word to describe what it was like seeing Brookelyn meet the princesses, especially Cinderella, is AMAZING! The were all the real ones to her - she was so excited to talk to them and have them sign and to ask them questions. It was so great. I get teary eyed talking about it now! It was so much fun to see her so excited!

Brookelyn loved meeting all the characters! It didn't matter if she knew the show that they were from or not - she wanted to meet them and have them sign her book. She was totally taken with all of them!
